Boise and Idaho Falls, ID - CRI Advantage, Inc. (CRI), a Boise and Idaho Falls-based information technology (IT) consulting firm, has been awarded the U.S. Department of Energy's 2008 Small Business of the Year Award for "creative, unique, and extraordinary performance" in support of the DOE's Idaho National Laboratory's mission, objectives, and requirements.
CRI has been supporting the 8,000 employees of the INL with IT Help Desk and Field Services activities as well as high-end cyber security services. CRI staff contributed to the INL in preparing for and passing the DOE's Office of Health, Safety, and Security (HSS) Audit in 2008, making significant contributions in the development of the DOE Program Cyber Security Plan.
"I am pleased to be associated with CRI - our contractual relationship extends back nearly three years, and my expectations have been met and exceeded," stated Tony Pascavage, IT Director at the INL. "They have been innvoative in their approach, going above and beyond in responding to a very formidable and challenging INL work scope. Safety, security, and performance have been foremost in their work conduct, and I wish them continued sucesses into the future."
CRI President and CEO, Gary Brookshier, and CRI's Chief Operating Officer, Ken Malach, will be receiving the award at the 10th Annual DOE Small Business Conference in Long Beach, CA on August 12th. "We are honored to be selected as DOE's Small Business of the Year," stated Brookshier. "It is a testament to the dedication of our consultants and their hard work providing proactive and value-added service to the INL."
This is believed to be the first time an Idaho firm has won the DOE's National Small Business of the Year award.
