Aaron Wells - CRI Director of Technology and Senior Application Architect
Aaron Wells, CRI Technology Director and Senior Application Architect has reached his ten year anniversary with CRI! As the CRI Technology Director, Aaron works with our clients to create a technical design or vision to help achieve goals. Through software development and new technical initiatives, he leads development teams from the analysis stage all the way to development and training those who will maintain and support the new system.
Over the past ten years, Aaron’s involvement has proven crucial in approximately one dozen large projects, and scores of smaller ones. His most recent large scale project involved rebuilding an E-Commerce system he originally created in the late 1990’s for MWI Veterinary Services, one of Idaho’s largest privately held companies. Aaron and his team used all modern technology to create a site that generates approximately $20 million in sales each month.
Currently Aaron is working with the City of Boise to develop an automatic calendaring system for the City Policy Department as well as the Downtown Boise Association. In addition, he is mentoring and training City of Boise personnel on the latest .NET technology.
Aaron is also heavily involved in the Mexico National Cancer Registry database (a multiple year endeavor to help track and combat cancer in Mexico), as well as supporting applications for Hewlett Packard and General Electric that are considered mission critical to their messaging systems.
Outside of work, Aaron keeps himself busy with his wonderful family of seven, as well as being the President of the Middleton soccer club, with approx 540 players. As the assistant varsity, and head junior varsity soccer coach of Middleton High, his teams have gone to state competitions for the past 4 years. They won the state title in 2005, and were then moved from 3A to 2A division. His teams continue to go to state in, taking 3rd place last year in the 2A div.
As if all that wouldn’t leave most of us exhausted and lethargic, he also dedicates time to his church, supporting all of their computers and video equipment. Aaron’s wife, Dara, is also very involved in humanitarian aid. Every year, she coordinates and runs a blood drive. She creates and sews approximately 250 baby quilts for donation to third world countries. Finally, she also helps collate and send hygiene kits as well. This year, Aaron and Dara gave themselves an early 20th anniversary gift – a fantastic 2 week ‘trip to Italy! While there, they visited Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome, Sienna, and Assisi.
Again, congratulations on your 10th anniversary with us, Aaron! You are appreciated and we look forward to another ten!
